Help the staff that helps make the MBA experience special.

Nearly 120 employees that help support the Kellogg MBA experience will be out of work for a minimum of 3-4 weeks. As Kellogg students and alumni, we have the opportunity to make a large impact on their lives in these uncertain times. Please help us by donating to our Go-Fund-Me fund.

We are in a time where there are more questions than answers.

We are in a time where there are more questions than answers. We’ll do our best to answer any and all of your questions pertaining to this effort.

How will funds be dispersed?

We are working with the management of the third party contract company Compass/FLiK to ensure all funds are distributed evenly between the employees.

What percentage of my donation goes to the employees?

We are using GoFundMe as our platform to raise funds for this initiative. GoFundMe is a for-profit company. It charges a 2.9 percent payment-processing fee on each donation, along with 30 cents for every donation. That means if a campaign raised $1,000 through 10 donations of $100 each, GoFundMe would collect about $32. GoFundMe no longer charges a platform fee, so it is free for people to start a campaign and facilitates sharing across various other media sites.

Is my donation tax deductable?

No, similar to other fundraisers, this is a peer to peer fundraiser and not associated with a 501c3 so it’s not tax deductable.

When is the employees last paycheck?

They will receive their last full paycheck on 3/27 so our goal is to try and raise as much as we can and distribute it to the employees prior to when they would be expecting their next paycheck on 4/10.

When will they go back to work?

Right now, the Allen Center is closed until further notice. Kellogg and the university is planning on reevaluation the plan on 4/17/2020.

How can I help?

Right now, our focus is on trying to help those in need that are without wages, as our MBA experience continues we’ll be looking for others to help in our philanthropic efforts.
